July's Monthly Meeting

Today s our monthy meeting. We started our meeting at 2pm and end at 4pm. All BOD attended this meeting. Lion Simon & Lion Onnie came to our school and meeting with us too. So do our faculty advisor, Pn Koay. We discuss about our upcoming activities and events, year budget and our anniversary. Fellow leos, Lions Club will be having a lot of activities for us. Hoping that everyone of our member may attend, have an experience and know what's LEO all about.Besides, Lions also encourage us to bring our members closer and make a stronger club. Be a top club in the school. A big thank you to them for helping us to solve the problem. I hereby say thanks to all the BOD for attending the meeting. Pictures are taken as below.

Visit to Children's Protection Society

Leo Ng Zi Qin from Leo Club of Penang (City) organized a project ' Visit to Children's Protection Society' on the 12 July 2009. I participated in this project. First, Leo Ng Zi Qin gave a talk on hygiene and teached them how to wash their hand to prevent H1N1. We must wash our hands correctly and wash for 15 to 20 seconds which is two birthday songs. Then, the children were given papers to draw, the title is ' Hands '. After that, we distributed sweets and some goodies to the children. Then, we sang ' Heal the world ' together with the children for more than 3 times. We also bring them out for some exercise. Exercise keeps your body healthy. All of us have a group photo and we dismissed. =)

3R Recycling Project

Leo Club of CDK participated in the 3R recyling project last Saturday. This project is orgainized by Leo Ng Zi Qin from our sister club, Leo Club of Penang (City). Leo Club of Chung Ling High School and Penang Chinese Girls School participated too. Venue for this current project is at Taman Free School. There were 11 members from our club participate in this project. All of us are divided into 5 different groups with the others. Each group were pointed to different flats to collect the recycle items. Purpose of this project is to learn how to interact with others leos and exchange experience among each other. Although it was raining quite heavily that day, but we learn a lot of things that day. We learn how to cooperate with other leos to make a sucess. I do hope that you guys learn alot and have fun today. A big thank you to the OC and all the leos!
